Is it edible??!

Question:

Is it edible??

Okay...so i was trying to make potato salad
and it was late so i didn't feel like actually boiling the water and waiting for the potato so i put the potato in a bowl with about half a cup of water into the microwave...but i forgot to poke holes into it...anyway it came out and it was still really hard so i added about another half cup of water and put it in again....this time it came out a bit softer but still somewhat hard....oh and i remembered to poke holes into it the second time around....i already mixed all the other ingredients in thinking it may mush it up a bit but it's not...and i know it sounds really stupid that i did that but still....
should i just dump it or is it safe to eat???

Answers:

It's happened to everyone who has cooked I'm sure so don't feel too badly.....I think you can microwave the whole thing...even though you already mixed everything together....just put a cover over it and it won't take long for the potatoes to finish cooking...the reason I mentioned this is because I make mine while the potatoes are hot...and the mayo is mixed in at that time....so I don't think there is any danger in using the microwave to finish cooking them...the time will be short you can do it for 2 minutes then take a fork and test the potato chunks...until they are completely done....then give it a stir and place it in the refrigerator to chill....next time I'm sure you will remember what to do! LOL...At least you didn't leave the gizzard and heart inside the chicken which was in a little paper bag.....and roasted it.....LOL...we all have had goofs in the kitchen...
Good luck...
