One of my favorite and easiest ways of cooking deer is to cube it into about 1 inch square cubes and season to taste . I use onion and garlic powder as well as about a cup of finely chopped onions .Don't forget salt and fresh cracked black pepper . Then I lightly coat the seasoned meat in plain flour . Add about two table spoons of cooking oil to a hot non stick dutch oven . When the oil is almost smoking , add the meat and brown it turning often to get it brown on all sides . I then cover the meat in chicken stock , I use unsalted because the meat is already salted . Then all that's left to do is to stew it gently for around and hour and a half . It will make its own delicious gravy because of the meat being browned and seasoned . You can switch hit this recipe by adding a cup of sour cream before serving and serve over warm egg noodles . Or leave that out and serve over rice . Its also wonderful to add about a cup of and inexpensive salsa at the end of the cooking process . Its wonderful over potatoes or rice . Enjoy!
