How can I tell my water is right temp for making bread in machine if I don't have thermometer?!

Question:

It keeps sinking in the middle when baking. Is the water too hot or cold? It is warm on my wrist. Any suggestions? Thanks ahead of time.

Answers:

The key to successful bread baking is correct temperature of the water for the yeast. Thermometers are inexpensive and well worth purchasing. Use it to determine that your water is 105 to 110 degrees (but never higher than 110).
