Help for pepper burns.?!

Question:

Help for pepper burns.?

I chopped a ton of peppers today, including some that I suspect were mislabeled habaneros. I wasn't wearing gloves, or anything else, and now my entire hand feels like I set it on fire (the feeling seems to be spreading). So far, I've tried Witch Hazel, dry gin (we're out of isopropal alcohol), milk, steroid gel, neosporin plus pain relief, and ice cubes, none of which have helped. Can anyone suggest anything that may help, even if it's just from an Old Wives' Tale?

Answers:

You've tried everything I can think of- usually witch hazel and alcohol works for me.

You could try making a poultice out of baking soda and a little water. Mix it up to make a paste and put it on the affected areas.

Or, try some cortisone.
