Atomic salsa recipe?!

Question:

Atomic salsa recipe?

I ate at this mexican restaurant over the weekend and they had this salsa that I really liked. The waitress called it atomic salsa but I can not find a recipe for atomic salsa on the internet so I figure it was called something else and the restaurant renamed it for their use. It was a dark green salsa with little chunks of avocado and I think it had halapeno peppers and tomatoes but I am not real sure what the other ingrediants were. I would really like to know what the recipe is so that I can make some at home.

Answers:

I found a recipe that sounds pretty close...I never thought of putting avocados in salsa...yummy!!!!

Tomatillo Salsa

4 ripe avocados
1 large lime
1 small red onion, cut into 8 pieces
2 cloves garlic, cut in halves
fresh cilantro
4 tomatillos, husked,rinsed and diced
2 small roma tomatoes, diced
1 jalapeno, seeded and chopped
salt and pepper

Peel, pit, and cut the avacados in chunks.
Squeeze lime juice over avacado, reserving the lime.
Process onion, garlic, cilantro and pulp from lime until all ingredients are in small chunks.
Fold in tomatillos, jalapeno and avacado, season with salt and pepper and serve.
