Is there a way to boil an egg so that the shell comes off more easily?

whenever i make them, i always have a tough time removing the shell. I don't want to run it under water either. thanks


Answers:

The fresher the egg, the harder it is to peel afer boiling. . Eggs can be stored in the fridge for a long time, so, if you've had some eggs for a week or 10 days and boil them, they will peel much more easily than ones you buy fresh from the market. If you buy them from a person who has chickens and collects the eggs daily, then they will be even fresher than when bought from the market and that much harder to peel. Kind of like wine, as in "We don't serve any wine until it's time."
