Can you substitute unsalted butter with margerine in making scones?

nope it is not for health reason. i want to make some scones now because the weather is not too hot for me to use the oven and i only have margerine with me now


Answers:

Not if you want good scones. Margarine is mostly veggie oil and oil makes a heavy dough. Make them another time, when you have butter.
