HELP! I need some really tasty marinade ideas for Lamb and Pork that's going to be cooked on the BBQ!?

Something that uses simple ingredients and not much work because I've got to get the meat marinading by tommorrow night!!

BBQ Marinade for Lamb Chops

A quick and tasty marinade for lamb chops or pork spare-ribs.

5 min 5 min prep

1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup malt vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup plum jam
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt



1. Mix together, and marinate lamb chops before cooking on the barbecue or in the oven.
2. Baste occassionally during cooking.



------------------BBQ Hinty Minty Lamb Chops

4 sirloin lamb chops, 1" thick
MARINADE
4 tablespoons honey
4 tablespoons lite olive oil (or other oil)
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon fresh mint, chopped
1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
salt and pepper
fresh mint leaves (for garnish)



1. Combine all the marinade ingredients and mix well.
2. Place chops in a large zip lock bag.
3. Pour marinade into the bag with the chops,seal bag.
4. Place in refrigerator for 2-3 hours, turn several times to coat the chops.
5. Heat BBQ to medium High.
6. Have heat 5" from the chops.
7. Sear chops for 5 minutes.
8. Turn heat down to medium low and cook for a further 12 minutes, brush with the marinade.
9. Adjust this time to suit how you like your chops.
10. Garnish with mint leaves& serve.

----------------Bbq or Roasted Spiced Leg of Lamb

1 (4 lb) butterflied leg of lamb
6 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon dried marjoram
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon rosemary
salt & pepper
1/4 cup wine (if roasting)
1/2 cup water (if roasting)



1. Place the Lamb fat side down on a plate or pyrex dish.
2. Mix garlic with the oil.
3. salt & pepper.
4. Work the mixture into the folds covering the lamb surface completely.
5. Grind the three herbs together and spread over underside of the lamb.Rub it into the lamb well.
6. To BBQ: Place meat skin side down on an oiled grilll Close the cover and cook over medium high heat for apprx 45 minutes. Watch for flame ups but do not flip the roast.
7. To Roast:Pour the wine and water into the roasting pan and bake in 375F oven for 1 hours or until the intenal temperature reaches 160F (oven roast potaoes for the last 40 minutes with the roast).
8. Let stand 5 minutes befor carving.
9. Check internal temperature.160F is medium rare - just pink.

---------------The Best BBQ Leg of Lamb

2 kg butterflied leg of lamb
1/4 cup oil
1 cup apple cider vinegar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/2 cup chutney
3 crushed garlic cloves
3 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon curry powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon ground coriander
2 teaspoons mustard powder
2 teaspoons ground ginger
2 teaspoons mixed herbs



1. Marinate at least for 1 day.
2. Best on BBQ slowly cooked over a low flame for a few hours.
3. Or you can bake in the oven at 180 Degrees C for about 1 1/2 hours or longer.
4. Absolutely delicious.

---------------Lamb Chops for the BBQ or Grill

1 kg lamb chops
1/4 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon lemon pepper
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary leaves
1/3 cup olive oil
1 small onion, grated
1 garlic clove, crushed



1. Trim excess fat from lamb.
2. Combine lamb with all the ingredients, cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
3. Just before serving, drain lamb from marinade.
4. Grill or BBQ chops until tender.
