Help, looking for a lost recipe called poor man's frosting. it was my mothers and the best i have ever had.

if i remember right it had flour, conf sugar,van, and i dont know the rest. but it was so fluffy and not very sweet. have been looking for this for over 10 yrs. any help, thanks a million. :)


Answers:

1 cup milk
1/4 cup flour
1 dash salt
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup vegetable shortening (such as Crisco)
1 teaspoon vanilla


< 15 mins Fillings & Frostings
1.In saucepan, cook milk, flour and salt until thick.
2.Cool well.
3. In small mixing bowl add sugar, margarine and shortening.
4. Beat well with electric mixer.
5.Add flour mixture and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Beat until it is fluffy and stiff like whipped cream.
