Any risks with cooking shrimp?!

Question:

Any risks with cooking shrimp?

i plan on making a dish with cooking shrimp tomorrow and since i don't usually work with it, i was wondering if shrimp is known for causing any food poisoning problems, etc. if done wrong. The dish seems pretty straight forward to me, but just wondering.

Thank you.

Answers:

You should have no problem cooking shrimp if you are comfortable cooking and caring for poultry. Care for it in the same way you would chicken. That is, keep it cold until you cook it and keep it hot or cold after it is cooked (avoid room temperature), cook it thoroughly, promptly refrigerate leftovers, etc.
