I need some criticism for my recipes!?!

Question:

I need some criticism for my recipes!?

Okay, so I've started to experiment with different recipes and it's really fun, but I can't find any good criticism for my work. It's all biased to the bright side and I want an honest opinion. Some of the things, people aren't even willing to try, even tho i've eaten it several times.

this is one of my best recipes, but no one will try it.
Ultimate Tea
3 teaspoons loosely packed spearmint (preferibly dried out and full leaf)
a pinch of cinnimon
A pinch of sweet basil
A pinch of nutmeg
A pinch of ginger
A very small pinch of thyme
1/4 cup sugar

Boil all the ingredients in 2 cups water untill fully green. Add 1/4 cup sugar and turn off heat.

Meanwhile take a large bowel or mug and a strainer. Place a coffee filter in the strainer and make sure that it covers the entire strainer.
Carefully pour the tea into the mug through the strainter and dispose of the remaining contents.

Go ahead and taste it while it's still hot and if it is too strong than place and ice cube or 2 in it. Enjoy

Answers:

OK, here's some constructive criticism for your recipe, as I went to culinary school:

The overall recipe sounds very tasty, I can't imagine why no one has tried your tea......I think that it would also benefit the drinker if it were served as an iced tea drink. I would recommend that you make a large quantity of it, and serve it to your friends WITHOUT TELLING THEM WHAT IT IS, and see what comments follow......And the name needs a little tweaking, too.....Herbal Rush, or something catchy like that would fill the bill.....

Now, the downside: your measurements.........

My pinch is obviously larger than your pinch, so you have to be more exacting in the measurements, such as you start out with 3 teaspoons, and the add "pinches" of things.......you might want to try aiming for a larger quantity of tea in the end product, so that you can say, 3 heaping Tablespoons of Spearmint leaves, 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon, etc.....you get the picture.......So, there you go, some constructive criticism for your Spearmint Herbal Rush Tea.........hmmmmmm, that kinda sounds like a starter, and good luck, keep experimenting!!! Enjoy!!!
