Do bullion cubes go bad?!

Question:

Do bullion cubes go bad?

I haves some chicken buillion cubes from 2002 I was wondering if these are still good? Do bullion cubes expire?

Answers:

They don't really go bad because they contain so much sodium and the sodium acts as a preservative. They can lose flavor over time, though. I would let your taste be your guide on this one. By the way, you can keep bullion cubes and granules (as well as herbs and spices) fresh a long, long time by storing them in the freezer.
