Does anyone have a wheat free diet plan outlining what they have for each meal?!

Question:

Does anyone have a wheat free diet plan outlining what they have for each meal?

i am looking for ideas and suggestions on how to steer clear of wheat without just having wheat free bread. i am looking for variety, easy to prepare and interesting food, not just rice bubbles for breakfast every morning. i have a number of food allergies but wheat is the strongest effecting and most common one.

i am looking for a plan or guide, an official one or a personal one. any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Answers:

I have celiac, so I have to avoid wheat, spelt, barley, rye and oats. Make sure you read the labels on prepared foods, as lots of them have modified food starch (often wheat) or caramel coloring (often wheat). Even most brands of soy sauce contain wheat. I don't have an official "plan", but I can give you a few examples:

Breakfast:
yogurt with fruit and chopped, toasted nuts
eggs with grits instead of toast
gluten free cereal
gluten free waffles
lox and cream cheese on a rice cake (not the same as a bagel, but...)

Lunch:
homemade soup
lots of salads
vacuum packed indian meals (to be microwaved)
pb and honey on rice cakes

Dinner:
any kind of meat, fish or chicken, just roast, grill or poach
a variety of vegetables
fruit or sorbet or ice cream for dessert

Hope this helps! Good luck!
