Recipe for sausage and wild rice?!

Question:

Recipe for sausage and wild rice?

Does anyone have a good recipe for ground sausage with wild rice, onions, celery, and bell peppers. Please submit one that you have tried before. Thanks.

Answers:

Here's something I've made before, but I don't really have it written in a recipe, and my ingredients are slightly different. I hope this helps.

Start your rice and let it do it's thing while you get the other stuff ready. Crumble and fry the sausage. When almost done, add onion, celery, and peppers. I have also used mushrooms and frozen veggies or different varieties - just whatever I happen to have on hand. Season to taste with salt, pepper, a little garlic - whatever you want.
Put rice and meat mixture in a casserole dish (doesn't matter what size, but a smaller dish requires a longer bake time to get the thicker middle part cooked) (mine is 13 X 9), mix to combine, pour a can of any creamed soup you have on hand. I prefer cream of mushroom, but sometimes I'm out. If you want, add a couple cups of shredded cheese, then top with a heavy sprinkling of bread crumbs and bake @ 325*F for 45-50 minutes until hot and bubbly.
