Ho do I cook a perfect steak on a fry-pan ?!

Question:

Ho do I cook a perfect steak on a fry-pan ?

Tenderloin or Striploin... Iv'e had a lot of answers dealing with cooking a perfect steak, but they came from chefs that use all iron skillets and throw them in the oven and stuff. i'm looking for a simple quick perfect steak.
Thanks

Answers:

You should use a grill or Cast Iron if you want to sear the steak. Searing the steak will create a nice crust on the outside keeping moisture inside.

Why cast iron or grill? You want to cook on a "Rocket Hot" surface.

NON-STICK SURFACES ARE DAMAGED BY HIGH HEAT!!

Aluminum and steel heats up and cools down fast. Drop the steak in and the temperature of the skillet drops. Cast iron holds heat in and yields a better result.

Sear your steak for 40 seconds on each side.

Unless you like your steak on the Rare side of Rare. you should let your steak finish off in a 350 degree oven for about 2 to 4 minutes on each side.

Quick? 6 to 10 minutes, done. Simple? Not really but not difficult either. If you want Perfection, the simple route may not be the best.
