How can I make a hot dog that tastes as good as a ballpark hot dog?
Just got back from a baseball game, and I was struck by just how good ballpark hot dogs are compared with hot dogs made on the grill at home.
The question is -- what's the best way to make a hot dog so it tastes more like a ballpark dog?
Answers:
The ballpark is probably using a different brand of hot dogs than you do at home. See if you can find out what brand they use. Different hot dog companies make their hot dogs different ways. Some hot dogs come with natural casings on them which make them 'snap' in your mouth when you take a bite. Most hot dogs don't have this because they don't come in a casing. Ball parks probably cook their hot dogs on flat top griddles instead of the grill. Have all of your condiments ready at home too so it feels like you have the ball park experience.
