Why are my homemade pizza pies hard?!

Question:

Why are my homemade pizza pies hard?

I use a pizza stone and the highest temperature allowed, but the bottoms of the pies come out hard, not soft and pliable.

Answers:

A pizza stone will give you the hard crust--that's the whole point of using one. I like to stick it on a cookie sheet and bake it a little lower, but a few minutes longer.
