Roasting corn?
I want to roast some corn in my oven tonight.
oven temp?
how long?
husk on or off?
wrapped in foil w/ butter or no?
Please don't just paste some recipe from some site.
I want to know what YOU do, what YOU'VE tried.

I do this on the grill but you can do it under a broiler also.
Remove about half the husks from all the corn. Peel back the remaining husks and remove all silks then pull husks back over corn. You should have just enough husks to cover most of the corn but some kernels should be visible. Put corn in a large pot stem side up and cover with hot tap water about 3/4 of the way up corn along with 3/4 cup sugar in the water. Simmer mostly covered for 15 minutes. Remove from water, let drain a little and put on grill or under broiler tuning often for 15 minutes. You can also do it in a very hot oven but not as good. After its done add butter salt and pepper to a container large enough to hold corn and coat hot corn.
