I've never cooked a roast like this. My aunt has passed so I can't ask her. I remember it was always the first meat to go at family gatherings. It was always fall-apart tender and juicy. Has anyone else cooked a pork roast this way? Thanks in advance!

Answers:

I have done this, and yes it is very tender. I set my oven to 200 degrees, and I cover the roast with foil. (completely) Use your meat themometer, after 5 hours to check safe temp.
But the best pork roast I ever made, was in my slow cooker. I put 1/2 cup water in the bottom, turned the cooker on low and left it in overnight. It makes it's own liquid. About and hour and a half before we eat, I put in about 5 cut up potatoes.
You can add carrots also, but these need about three hours in a slow cooker. The pork roast, also pork butts need about ten hours.
