Why do you have to brown a beef roast before putting it in the oven?
Answers:
I throw mine in a skillet with Olive Oil and brown quickly on each side.....the reason is, it will hold in the juices and make the meat stay tender while using the oven or crock pot.
you may want to throw in some spices as you brown, it will add to the tastey--ness.
