What is the best method for freezing green beans?
I grow my own vegetables and would like to freeze my romano beans. Last year, I followed blanching instructions carefully. After draining the water from them, I sealed them in a freezer bag using a food saver appliance. They were kept frozen for 3 months only. When I went to cook them for dinner, they tasted very rubbery and not at all like the "crunchy" store kind. Does anyone have suggestions as to what I did wrong or how they freeze theirs?
