Question:

Applesauce gone bad?? ok 4 cooking still?

Answers:

Some of us obssess waaay too much over food. I've been in the kitchen for over 40 years, doing home canning and jellymaking, and have yet to get food poisoning or give it to my family. A little mold is harmless if you spooned it away. I've scraped a whole layer of mold off the top of a jar of jelly, and everything underneath was just fine. Enjoy your applesauce and don't worry! Don't you know that penicillin is made from the mold on rye bread?
