Romantic 3 course meal?!

Question:

Romantic 3 course meal?

Hi, I am wanting to cook a romantic 3 course meal for my husband and I and I want it to be a nice surprise for him.

I am not a fantastic cook so I need ideas on something that I can manage fine and doesnt take a whole day to do. I want to try something different though (something not really common or obvious)

I wanted to do a starter, a main course and a desert myself. Can someone please give me some ideas? I dont want to do anything like prawn cocktail starters or a steak for a main course.

We like traditional main meals is this is any help. We love meat and we love fish but ANY ideas welcomes please.

Can anyone reccomend a nice wine to go with the meal also please?

Thank you in advance!

{Salad with a Balsamic vinagrette } here is the dressing recipe, just use your normal salad mixture with it.

Simple Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing Recipe

Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste

Pulse in a blender until smooth

Salmon for dinner is always nice in the summer time.

Simple Pan-Seared Salmon

INGREDIENTS:
4 skin-on salmon fillets, each
about 6 ounces and 1 to 1-1/4
inches thick
Salt and ground black pepper
1 tablespoon vegetable oil,
plus 1 pat butter(optional)

DIRECTIONS:
Heat a 12-inch heavy-bottomed
skillet for 3 minutes over high
heat. Sprinkle salmon with salt
and ground black pepper.

Add oil to pan; swirl to coat.
When oil shimmers (but does not
smoke) add fillets skin side down
and cook, without moving fillets,
until pan regains lost heat, about
30 seconds. Reduce heat to medium-
high; continue to cook until skin
side is well browned and bottom
half of fillets turns opaque,
4-1/2 minutes.

Turn fillets and cook, without
moving them, until they are no
longer translucent on the exterior
and are firm, but not hard, when
gently squeezed: 3 minutes for
medium-rare and 3-1/2 minutes for
medium. You can easily remove the
skin from the salmon at this point
with a knife, gently pulling until
all skin is removed. Turn the
salmon over and sear briefly, or
until desired doneness is reached.

Remove fillets from pan; let stand
1 minute. Serve immediately with
lemon wedges.

Make Mashed Potatoes or your favorite side dish to complete this meal.

For dessert

Visit the Produce dept. and pick some fresh fruit up and couple it with whipped cream.. Simple but soo good and romantic =)

Wine

Hope I helped a little
