Help.. my knives are to sharp..?
I have sharpened my cooking knives to the point of being near razor blade sharpness..and now when i am cutting i am getting horrible cut marks in my chopping board, its not the fact that they are to sharp and that im scared of cutting myself , its just i dont want these cut marks on my board..any advice on how to dull the blade slightly without damaging the blade itself?

as an ex chef i understand your point, a board should not have marks and this is a breeding ground for bacteria, few people clean their boards properly to allow for this, seen the advert with all the fruit on what you think is a chopping board till it pans out and you see its a toilet seat because most household toilets are cleaner than there boards??
anyways, back to your problem, take a sheet of sand paper, lay flat and ROCK your knife across it, dont drag it, do this a couple of times and test till you achieve what youre looking for, good luck,
and perhaps think of a slab of granite for a board, they're great and easy to scrub with salt
