Answers:

I make my own special fried rice, which everyone loves, like this.......
use easy cook long grained rice which is far superior to the white stuff
add oil to a deep pot and fry the dry rice slowly and stirring constantly - it will go golden brown and smell deliciously nutty - add very finely chopped vegetables -onion, the green of leeks, red pepper, mushrooms, carrot and anything else you like - fry very gently then add boiling water with a chicken stock cube in it and steam until all the water is absorbed (you can add extra boiling water in small amounts if not enough to have the rice tender but grainy) - meanwhile, in a non stick frying pan fry an egg beaten up with the same amount of milk in a very thin layer - when cooked remove to a plate and cut up while cooking the remainder - add the chopped egg and anything else you fancy (eg hot cooked shrimp, chicken, beef or pork-slice meat finely and stir fry in a little oil) to the rice - season to taste with soy sauce etc..
I don't know what type of BBQ sauce you have in mind but an easy one is to fry onions, garlic and red and green peppers in a little oil until soft but not browned - add about four heaped tablespoons of sugar, half a cup of ketchup, four tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce and two heaped tablespoons of american style mustard - stir while bring to the boil then switch off the heat - taste it and adjust the ingredients to suit your taste - add any stir fried meat or fish to the sauce if wished.
Cooking is about experimenting and adjusting as you go along - there are no rights or wrongs - just give it a bash! Enjoy!
