How can I get a hold or rhubarb in Grocery store?!

Question:

How can I get a hold or rhubarb in Grocery store?

I live in North Carolina, in there is a recipe that requires rhubarb. I have been craving it. What are some places that I can get a hold of it. Is it in grocery stores or a pick farm. Please help me

Answers:

I live in the province of Ontario in Canada. Rhubarb is really hard to find in grocery stores. Sometimes you can get it frozen. Also it really tastes best in the spring. It gets kind of hard and stringy once the summer weather starts. Mostly I get it at Farmer's markets in the spring. If you have a garden or a patch of backyard you can buy a plant at the garden centre and put it in your garden. It looks pretty and you can use it all year long. I also have a rhubarb recipe that is cooked in orange juice and strained and you pour some in tall glasses and fill it up with sparkling water, club soda or champagne. It is so delicious. I am craving it also but right now it is summer and no one sells rhubarb at the moment. Pity!
