PLEASE HELP!! I bought the wrong ingredient!?!

Question:

PLEASE HELP!! I bought the wrong ingredient!?

I have a recipe for a peanut butter frosting, and it calls for heavy cream.
I accidentally bought half and half at the grocery store, and there's no time to go back.
Will it substitute?

The Recipe:
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup butter, softened
4 cups confectioners' sugar
1/3 cup heavy cream

Combine 1 cup peanut butter, and 1/2 cup butter or margarine cream together until light and fluffy. Add the confectioner's sugar. Mix in enough cream to make the frosting of a spreading consistency. Apply to cool cake.

Thank you guys so much! Tomorrow is my dad's birthday and I was starting to freak out. It's my second time ever baking a cake from scratch, so I have absolutely no knowledge on the matter.

Answers:

You can try it, possibly by trying to whip the half-and-half up a little (if at all possible) to give it a bit more volume.

But when adding, do so gradually and a little at a time, then mix it in. If it goes in the fridge once done (which it should) then the peanut butter and the regular butter should hold the frosting together - the cream is only added to give the frosting a smoother and richer texture.
