Velveeta Cheese?!

Question:

Velveeta Cheese?

Hi I have a block of velvetta cheese I want to use over broccoli, how do I melt it do I add milk or just heat the cheese up on its own? Thanks all.

Answers:

It will melt very nicely on it's own. You won't need to whole block. Cut it up into 1/2 inch cubes and put in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir. 30 more seconds. Stir..... etc until done.

Make sure your brocolli is well drained or it will make the cheese watery at the bottom of the bowl & the cheese sticks better.

It's not like cheddar and other block cheese, so you don't need to worry about it turning into a block if you don't add milk. It's processed.
It's awesome mixed with salsa, for chips! Check the box for the recipe.

Oh ----------- the BEST grilled cheese sandwiches too! Use butter on the bread. (can you tell I'm a closet Velveeta fan?)

Happy eating!
