Is there a difference between flour and yeast?

I have no clue if flour and yeast is the same thing...

yes, flour is made from ground up wheat... the white kind is "bleached" and the husks of the seeds are taken off, so it doens't retain that brown color...
Yeast is a small fungal organism that grows and is added to warm dough (flour and eggs and water, etc) to make the bread rise. If you've ever had homemade bread your notice those yummy pockets of air that give the bread its texture, thats created from kneading the bread and letting the yeast work its majc by increasing the volume of the dough.
if you;ve ever had a bread not made with yeast, its usually much thicker/denser and not as light.
flour makes the bread, yeast makes the bread bigger :)
