I hung a pot rack above my work counter to have ready access to most used pans and gadgets It has:
a steamer, an electric griddle (on top, along with six meal trays, half a dozen small quiche pans, three spring release gradient cake pans, 3 silicone sheets), six steel pans in various sizes from 3/4 to 2 1/2 qt., 4 spatulas, five strainers in various size, three gradient muffin scoops, three flat bottom ladles, two sets of measuring cups, three soup ladles, 1 double boiler , 1 salad spinner, 1 large silicone spoonula, 1 egg beater, 2 bunches of dried herbs, 1 small stainless salad tongs, 2 locking tongs, three stainless stirring spoons(1 slotted), 1 set of fork and spatula for teflon grill, 2 forks for grill or serving, two wok spatulas, 1 set of measuring spoons, The gadget drawer has two electric knives, an egg slicer, assorted corn skewers, an electric frother, lobster cracker, nut cracker, lobster scissors and two lobster picks, steel skewers (about a dozen in various sizes, the big Turkish ones and wood ones I keep elsewhere), a Julienne cutter with interchangeable blades, various garnishing tools, two cheese cutters, cocktail picks, small spoons for sauces, blades and tool for hand blender, screens for food mill, and the Monster from the Black Lagoon.
[I seriously envy Tom's cutlery, you look at those knives and know how Musashi cut the peony, the best I can do is my cut rate gourmet wok from Hong Kong, and meager ware for Chanoyu.]
I take cooking seriously.
