How do i cook shrimp?!

Question:

How do i cook shrimp?

Basically i have a bag of frozen shrimp should i thaw it before i cook it or cook it frozen(it's sorta already thawing as we speak so a quick answer can't hurt : )

also is it best to boil it or to steam it, I kept looking on the internet for these answers but all i ever find are recipes for some complicated stuff with lots of garlic and butter (icK) i like my shrimp plain and hot that i can peel myself(like the stuff you find at a chinese restaurant) anyway i guess my big question is is it better to boil it or steam it? and for how long, do i add salt if i boil it? etc that kind of stuff

Answers:

if you like the shrimp in Chinese restaurants then follow this:
wash your shrimp, boil the water with some salt in it. The shrimp takes only a couple of minutes; as soon as it turns pink, left it out, do not rinse: while it still hot, put some freshly ground pepper and drizzle a little butter over it and enjoy!
