Anyone heard of scandinavian princess cake?!

Question:

Anyone heard of scandinavian princess cake?

someone told me it's a great cake, I can't find a recipe, Help!

Answers:

Prinsesst?rta, yes! It's great, as well as very pretty - a real classic. Fluffy sponge cake, filling of custard cream, whipped cream, a little raspberry jam and a topping (or rather a lid) of light green marzipan sprinkled with icing sugar and crowned with one pink marzipan rose. There is a recipe here: http://longstrom.com/recipes.htm#dessert... - scroll down to "Princesst?rta" - but you can make it much more simple if you use ready-made marzipan (always light green) instead of making almond paste. Another recipe at http://annesfood.blogspot.com/2005/10/ha... . The great question is always: Who will have the rose? Children fight for it, while adults are so anxiously polite that nobody dares to grab it - it will be left to top the last ruin of the cake.
