How do you prepare a portobello mushroom burger on the grill?!

Question:

How do you prepare a portobello mushroom burger on the grill?

I heard that they are good for you and I am craving a burger, but don't eat meat. Has anyone ever had one? Are they good? What should I look for when buying the mushrooms, considering I have never had portobello mushrooms before? I have an indoor grill and would like to try one.
Thanks for your help:)

How many minutes on the grill????

Answers:

They're terrific.

Buy ones that have intact mushroom caps and look as large as or slightly larger than a hamburger bun. Make sure that there is no sliminess inside the cap. Also, when you buy one, use it within a couple of days as they tend not to keep past 3 days.

They do well when you first brush them with olive oil and seasonings such as garlic (you can pierce small holes in the mushroom cap and insert small pieces of garlic) or rosemary. Jack or Swiss cheese goes nicely on them too. Grill until you get nice looking grill marks on them and the cap has shriveled just slightly. I have to look at a recipe, but I'd say about 5-6 minutes per side on a hot grill.
