Can club soda be used in place of seltzer water in a recipe?


Answers:

I am a former chef and basically there the same thing, soda water comes from a can or bottle, seltzer is plain water under pressure from a seltzer bottle, both are carbonated with CO2.

The seltzer will not have as much salt or minerals so for batters it is better, but both have the bubbles to make things light or crisp.
