What's on your menu for the week?


Answers:

1. Chicken & dumplings (stewed with carrots, celery & onion - it's more like a stew with dumplings added toward the end).
2. Roasted, herbed pork roast (roasted to a nice herbed crust on the outside) with egg noodles (cooked in chicken broth), steamed veggies & home-made chunky applesauce.
3. Chicken enchiladas (home made with shredded chicken, cheddar cheese, rice and salsa mixed and wrapped then enchilada sauce over the top with more cheese, then baked).
4. Brats & kraut - easy night in the kitchen! - brats steamed, then browned and cooked with kraut, then served with crusty brat rolls (from the bakery), fried potatoes and various veggies to munch.
5. Steamed fish packets (tilapia with white wine, red & green peppers, onions & garlic with lemon wrapped in foil pouches and steamed on the grill), cheese biscuits, steamed veggies & brown rice cooked in veggie broth.
Weekend - Don't cook - we'll eat out.
