How did you learn to cook? And who taught you?!

My mother taught me.....she was a cook all her life and had a catering business too.

Answers:

I learned how to cook from my paternal grandmother she also taught my father how to cook. My grandmother has always had an intense passion for cooking. It's like she throws herself into making a dish. She loves to experiment with different spices and herbs. When I was a little girl I would be in awe watching her create a master piece. I remember she would set up a section on the table so I could make up my own little creations lol! When I became a teenager I started to take an active role in cooking since I enjoyed it so much. I did alot of trial and error. I can't tell you the amount of cookbooks I own. Now that I'm in my mid 20's I'd rather have homecooked meals. So my refridgerator stays stocked. I thought I never meet a person that shares the same passion for cooking as me and my grandmother, until I met my current boyfriend. We both love cooking for eachother and creating new dishes. He said he was glad that he found a woman that loves cooking. I have been thinking about entering a pie baking contest. Maybe I will do it next year :).
