Need an apple crumble recipe?

suggestions please

Answers:

Hiya - a dead easy recipe

Ingredients:
6 eating apples
4 oz plain flour
4 oz marg (I use stork or butter)
4 oz sugar - I use demerara - castor and granulated are also fine

Optional: cinammon, raisins + porridge oats

Method:

Peel the apples (can use any old apple), remove seeds, slice and stew in a pan with a half cup of water until soft.
When apples are soft, drain water into cup (quite tasty to drink), and put the apples into a bakeproof dish, like a casserole dish. You can use more apples if you are making for lots of people, and you can add a a half spoon of cinammon and a handful of raisins if you like.

For the crumble: Put the marg straight from the fridge into a baking bowl, add the flour and rub in to make little crumbs - like breadcrumbs - using the tips of your fingers. Once the flour and marg are rubbed in, add in the sugar and mix with a metal spoon. You can add in oats, spice or raisins in the crumble. Put crumbly mixture on top of stewed apples and bake for 35 mins at 180 or 160 fan assisted.

Serve with custard.
All the best
