Home made coleslaw?
Why does my coleslaw turn really watery and runny after a day or two of making it? I use cabbage carrot onion and mayo?
Answers:
as soon as you damage the surface of any vegetable it releases its water. You have finely sliced it....it is leaking...into the mayo. Try making a bag up of the veg...keep it out of the mayo....and only add the mayo at the time you want to eat it mixed!!! The mayo will draw out water and start to decay with the water from the veg.......all food decays when it is damaged......
