Does anyone have fresh tomatoe recipes?!

Question:

Does anyone have fresh tomatoe recipes?

I just bought a box of about 40 tomatoes from the Amish (their stuff is so awesome!) for $5.00. I like to eat them plain and I have an awesome recipe for tomatoe pie, but does anyone have any other tomatoe recipes they could share?

Answers:

How about creaming your tomatoes??? Very good on toast or biscuits.
To Cream Tomatoes........
Wash, peel and cut into quarters about a quart of tomatoes. Cook over med. heat until done.....about 1/2 hour. Add about a teaspoon of sugar to tomatoes, salt and pepper to taste.
Add about 2 tablespoons creamery butter.
Now i use a very small mayo jar with a lid to mix my flour and milk together. Put on lid and shake until there are no flour lumps left in milk. Once mixed good slowly add some hot tomatoes to flour and milk .Add enough to make milk warm or let tomatoes set until cool and then add milk and flour....heat over med heat stirring all the while or milk will curdle. (The acid in hot tomatoes curdles milk unless you are careful.)
Stir until thickened. Serve over toast or home made biscuits....Deleshious...
Sorry i can't give exact measurements but this is an old country recipe that is not written down, just passed down from Mother to Daughter.
