When making cookies, can you replace shortening with anything?!


Question:

When making cookies, can you replace shortening with anything?

I want to make some cookies and can't leave to the store at the moment, all the ones I try to start have sortening in them and I don't have any, let me know if there is any subsitution for it!


Answers:

Butter or stick margarine work. You have to be careful with the margarine, though, it can't be too high on the water content.
