I have a recipe for a sweet glaze to go on sweet potatoes?!

Question:

I have a recipe for a sweet glaze to go on sweet potatoes?

It calls for 2 tbsps sorghum. Is sorghum and molasses the same thing? or can I substitute molasses in place of sorghum?

Answers:

Sorghum syrup (molasses) has a stronger flavor than regular molasses which is usually comes from sugar cane. Black Strap molasses is just a darker version of regular molasses. Either will substitute nicely for the other.

Uh... also, please eschew the marshmallows, the extra sweetness masks the excellent flavor of the sweet potato.
