Making my own pasta?!

Question:

Making my own pasta?

when i make fresh pasta, do i boil the lasagne sheets before putting them on th elasagne in the oven, or do i just put them straigh onto the lasagne into the oven without being boiled first?

Answers:

No need to boil the lasagne pasta before you bake the lasagne entree.

Boiling pasta hydrates it, and brings it up to temperature for dining. Fresh pasta is already hydrated, and baking the lasagne entree brings it up to temperature.

You should be aware that fresh pasta soaks up sauce much more than dried pasta, and so your dish will taste different, no matter *what* you do.
