What can be done if my baked beans are too sweet?!

Question:

What can be done if my baked beans are too sweet?

I'm fixing baked beans from dry beans and the recipe called for dark brown sugar and molasses. They have been baking in the crock for about 3 hours and the liquid tastes sweeter than I would like. Is there anything I can added to fix them?

Answers:

Add a tiny bit of apple cider vinegar at a time, stir and taste until the flavor is more balanced.
