Me and my family are having a housewarming party and I need recipes for good food.

Appetizers.
Roasted Honey and Spice Nuts.

40g/1.5 oz butter
30ml/2tbsp clear honey
5-10 ml/1-2 tsp mild chilli powder according to taste
1/2tsp salt
freshly ground black pepper
275gr/10oz mixed unsalted nuts, e.g :Almonds,Cashews,Pecans,Hazeln... Peanuts.

1. Preheat the oven to 150c/300f/gas2, place the butter in a saucepan and heat gently, until melted. Stir in the honey and season with chilli powder, sa;t and freshly ground black pepper.2. Add the nuts and stir together until thoroughly coated. Transfer to a large, shallow non-stick baking tray and roast for 20-30 mins or until glazed, stirring 2 or 3 times.
3. Allow to cool slightly and eat warm, or cool completely and store in an air tight continer for up to a week.

Main Dish

Maple Glazed Chicken Breasts

4 tbsp maple syrup
Finely grated rind and juice of 1 orange
A few drops of Tabasco
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
4 chicken breasts, with skin on
Flat leaf parsley to garnish

1. Mix together maple syrup with orange rind and juice. Add a few dashes of Tabasco and season to taste.. Pour marinade over the top of chicken.
2. Preheat grill and grill for 12-15 mins skin side uppermost, and then underside until slightly charred, and juices run clear.
3.Serve hot garnished with flat leaf parsley accompanied by buttered leeks and roasted potstoes.

Dessert.

Maple Cheesecake

175g/6oz digestive biscuites finely crushed
100g/4oz butter
4 tbsp water
1 tbsp powdered gelatine
450g/1lb cream cheese
Finely grated rind and juice of 1 lemon
150ml/5fl oz single cream
150ml/5 fl oz Maple syrup
Fresh fruit to decorate

1. melt the butter in a pan, remove from heat and mix in biscuit crumbs. Press into base of 20cm/8in loose bottomed tin. Chill for 30 mins.
2. Pour water into a small bowl and sprinkle over gelatine. Sit over a pan of simmering ware. and allow to dissolve.
3.Beat together the cream cheese, lemon juice and rind, and maple syrup. Rapidly beat single cream into gelatine and then into cream cheese mixture.
4. Pour over biscuit base and chill until set, decoate with fresh fruit and serve chilled.
