How do i make banana chips in the oven?!

Question:

How do i make banana chips in the oven?

i don't have a dehydrator, and frying them is too much trouble. i tried to make them yesterday, but they didn't turn out so great.

i'm looking for a recipe that will make them crispy.

please and thanks!

Answers:

cut the banana in thin slices. bath them in lemmon juice to avoid browning.
Then place a parchment paper in a baking pan, align the slices there and paint them with a bit of syrup made with 1 part of water and one part of sugar. (put sugar and water to boil and let boil for 5 mins).
place the baking pan in a low oven with the door a bit opened (low temp) and let there until crispy. I dont know how much time depends on your oven, but it will take some time. In mine it takes about 40 mins. Anyway keep an eye on them to avoid burning.
If you are not using them on the same day, they might get soft by the air humidity. So to store them, put them in a bag, place the bag in an airtight container and if possible put some humidity absorbing stones (found cheaply at home depot) and then place the container in the frigde.
