How do you bake a cake in the shape of a castle.?!

Question:

How do you bake a cake in the shape of a castle.?

I am a relativly expreienced beginner baker. I have baked many cakes from scratch (I mean starting with unsweetened baking chocolate) but I want to bake one for my sister's birthday in the shape of a castle. I know you need molds but can you make them or do you need to bye them. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

Answers:

If you want to make a castle shaped cake you don't need a castle shaped mold.

You build it in pieces and stack the pieces using icing. Or at least that's the easiest way. There are many ways to do it.

There are plenty of sites to find instructions on cake "building" I would recommend going to Barnes and Nobles. They have an excellent selection of cake building books.
