How do you fix Over salted cooked rice?!

Question:

How do you fix Over salted cooked rice?

I made a wild rice medley and it tastes OVER salted. :( Is there a fix for that problem? Maybe along the same lines as say putting a potato in soup to remove some salt? Thank you.

Answers:

you may try to turn this into a spicy curry wild rice medley following this:
- add one big tomato diced nicly to the medley, 1/2 cup water, bring the mixture to boil , then simmer for 10 minutes
- add shredded button mushrooms or mushrooms of any kind, add tumeric powder and red pepper powder, a handful of rasins cook for 5 minutes
- if you really like it to be very spicy, add red chilli
- Finish with chopped coriander or parsley.

The acidity of tomato and the sweetness of the rasins will neutralize the saltiness a bit plus the mushrooms, altoghther they would dilute the saltiness. Hopefully, the level of the saltiness would become a curry rice dish would require.

If this still doesn't work, cook more rice medley without any seasoning. When it is almost done, bring the already cooked over salted one into the new one and bring to boil, cook for a few minutes. Make sure you taste before you add more seasoning.
