Cuisinart is the original, and I feel, the absolute best. Were it me, I would buy the absolute biggest I could afford. You can easily use it to process small quantities of food, that's not a problem at all. It IS a problem, however, when one does not have a machine big enough to do what one wants and needs it to do, like making doughs and pureeing a big batch of soup or something like that. Go for the gusto! It's a lifetime investment! Also, look at buying a commercial food processor if you're going to be using it every day, multiple times/day, or if you're catering or cooking professionally. It'll hold up much better and it'll be worth the investment.
