Can Rump Steak be Oven Cooked?

I have a juicy steak in the Fridge but I am soooo tired this evening I cant be bothered to stand and watch it grill!

Can I cook it in the oven? If not what other easy method is there?

Answers:

Good rump steak should be grilled. Get your griddle pan hot, smear the steak with a little oil (not the pan) and season with crushed black pepper. Depending on the thickness of the steak, the cooking process takes less than 6 minutes. Let the steak rest for at least three minutes after it's cooked. You can take a rest at the same time. Compare that with pre-heating the oven, waiting for it to cook, going back to the oven and finding that your expensive rump steak has dried out, lost it's flavour or whatever.
You could cook it in a pressure cooker if you want. It'll taste like braising steak and look grey and tired. Suit you down to the ground if you're feeling grey and tired.
