How long would it take a 1 pound pot roast with veggies to cook in a Crock Pot on high?

Do you guys see that it says ONE POUND? Seven or eight hours would give me a brick. Thanks anyways...

I usually cook a three pound roast on high in the crock pot for 3 to four hours or 4 to 5 hours on medium. I always brown it on all sides first. It always turns out fork tender. I have never cooked that small of a roast but would think that if you brown it
first, all you would need is 2 to 2 1/2 hours. You could probably eat it after 1 1/2 hours, but it would be really fall apart tender after the longer cooking time. I am not an expert but I have been cooking roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy for over 30 years. I think some of the advise you are getting is going to give you beef jerky.
